At 70 years old, Louise rode the roller coaster at Six Flags for her birthday with her grandchildren. Louise loved riding roller coasters with her family. She was a collector of pictures, cardinals, and stuffed monkeys. Louise was a country music fan, especially of Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline. Louise was fortunate to have the companionship of the late George Waugh later in her life. Louise loved the Needham 4th of July parade and family cookouts. If you ate a meal at Louise’s kitchen table, you were considered “family”. Louise was an avid knitter and ceramic maker. She fed all the neighbors her pies, dozens of cookies and made many “firemen’s dinners” for friends and family. Louise loved her home and took pride in her house. She was an energetic grandmother and involved in everyone’s events. Louise was known as “Mom”, “Gramma”, “Grams” or “Gigi” to her family. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Needham. Louise was a lifelong Needham resident that lived in 2 houses less than 30 feet apart on the same street her whole life. Louise is survived by her 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Louise is survived by her niece, Terry Mattoon of Topsham, VT and nephew Mark Walsh of Foxboro. Predeceased by her children: Sandra LeMay of Needham, David Mason of Centerville, and Gary Mason of Andover, NH. She is survived by her daughters: Donna Eaton of Yarmouthport, wife of the late David Eaton and Cindy Willis and her husband Doug Willis of Duxbury. She was the sister of the late Doris Walsh of Walpole. Louise was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora Farrow. What was between those two dates was a life full of love, family and community pride. A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday, January 13th at10:30am. Louise lived life to its fullest till the very end. As one of her granddaughters quoted about Louise, She “was a blue eyed, pink lipstick wearing, decked in jewels including 8 earrings in each ear (birthstones of her family), pie baking, tough as nails, take no crap, but would give it to everyone matriarch” of her family. Louise loved walking the beaches of Cape Cod and Duxbury, where she collected sea glass and proudly displayed it in a five-gallon jug in her living room. They met many lifelong friends and would meet there yearly. Louise vacationed in Aruba for over 25 years with David and then her sister. Louise was an avid knitter and ceramic maker.
